This product for myself personally was a lifesaver! I found that not only does it help you to feel supported from the front, it also eases the bad lower back pain a bit!

Hi M, so good to see your new discoveries after having #2. Alot of the things you have up here are things we used and loved like the mini co-sleeper and the Ergo. I pumped regularly after a few weeks from birth and through working full time after 12wks til baby was 10 months old. I had a simple Medela pump and would use the Lansinoh storage bags which i felt were actually better than the Medela bags. They hold more milk, they actually lie flat meaning i can stack up alot in the freezer and I have never had a problem with the zip lock (some medela bag users have complained about leaks and spills). Plus they are better value. Try them if you haven't already.

i got this upon your recommendation and additional research and I love it! Thanks for recommending this. It has been great to use when i need to nurse in public places, my husband swears you can't see 'anything', preserving my modesty and keeping my little one from being distracted. I have given it to friends for their showers. It folds up small to fit in my purse and i love that it is multi-functional.

Comment on Medela Contact Nipple Shield by Susanne Jasper

I love the Medela nipple shield! My son was a preemie and, as for most preemies, breast feeding him was even more challenging than it is with full-term babies. Preemies, until they reach a certain age and maturity, don't have the strength to suck on the Mom's breast or at least not long enough for a full meal. On top of it, I have flat nipples which makes breast feeding even more challenging. It was a frustrating undertaking for both my son and I for weeks. Finally, my lactation consultant recommended trying a nipple shield. The day I started using it, my baby was finally able to get a full, satisfying, peaceful meal from my breast. Also, my nipples were less and less sore as I was using the nipple shield and breast feeding wasn't painful anymore.

One of my girlfriends used a similar travel tent for her baby daughter when they came to visit us and it worked great. I thought it was a wonderful concept and I bought the Pea Pod travel tent. I tried to use it for the first time when I was traveling with my baby son and he couldn't stand the tent. As soon as I put him in it, he started screaming and crying. He was used to sleeping in his crib or in his bassinet stroller. My advice is to get your baby used to the tent at home, before you travel. It is definitely a great product and solution when traveling with a baby.
