Product Overview

The ErgoBaby Carrier is designed for an ergonomic carrying position. The ErgoBaby Carrier functions as a front and back carrier and features high density foam shoulder straps and waist belt. The carrier fits waists from 25″ to 43″ and fits body heights from 5′ to 6’5″. The sleeping hood with elastic can adjust in length to accommodate the growth of your baby. Although it is tested for strength and durability up to 90 pounds it’s recommended weight limit is 40 pounds. The ErgoBaby Carrier can be used with newborns in the front position and from six months and up in the back carry position. It is machine washable and comes in original cotton twill, polyester and cotton for the performance model, organic cotton and the sports model features a microfiber fabric.

Why I Like It
Even though I love my baby sling and wrap, I needed a carrier to take weight off of my shoulders and back since I’ve struggled with shoulder and back pain for years.  The ErgoBaby Carrier is designed to distribute the weight of your baby down through your hips taking pressure off your shoulders and back.  I love the padded straps and waist belt which makes it comfortable to carry my little one for hours at a time.

The ErgoBaby Carrier has a sleeping hood which can be stored away in a front pocket.  The carrier also has a built in zippered pocket which allows you to store small items like a phone or keys for quick trips out.  The buckles are high quality and easy to work.

There are four different models featuring different fabrics.  I choose the organic cotton version because the fabric felt softer.  This carrier is pricier, starting at $110, however if you are planning on wearing your baby for long periods of time, your back and shoulders will thank you for this carrier.

The ErgoBaby Carrier does not accommodate for the forward facing front carry position.  Check the website for their explanation.  (www.ergobabycarrier.com)

ErgoBaby also sells accessories for the carrier, such as a pouch which connects to your carrier and a backpack which allows you to carry personal and baby items on your carrier without the need for a diaper bag.
