Why I Like It
With airlines cutting back on baggage allowances I had to find an ultra portable infant bed for my daughter when we traveled. I debated on whether to purchase one that was really only a little mattress with some side rails or this PeaPod Travel Bed. I went with this travel bed because I can continue to use it as she gets older and starts to crawl. This bed will keep her contained at night.
The bed folds small enough to pack in a suitcase and is easy to set up. I’ve heard some parents complain about how difficult it is to fold, however I had no problems folding the bed. It took me less than a minute. When you are folding the frame, think of it the same as those pop open car shades that fold. The principle to folding this bed is the same.

One of my girlfriends used a similar travel tent for her baby daughter when they came to visit us and it worked great. I thought it was a wonderful concept and I bought the Pea Pod travel tent. I tried to use it for the first time when I was traveling with my baby son and he couldn’t stand the tent. As soon as I put him in it, he started screaming and crying. He was used to sleeping in his crib or in his bassinet stroller. My advice is to get your baby used to the tent at home, before you travel. It is definitely a great product and solution when traveling with a baby.
